Following completion of the demolition phase, the main construction works have commenced on site at DTZ Investors' Unit B Railway Triangle Industrial Estate, Portsmouth. Hughes and Salvidge Ltd completed the demolition works in early October 2024 and Wilten Construction Ltd has been appointed as the main contractor to procure the new development.

As part of the appointment, Wilten will be carrying out the design and construction of a 106,498 sq ft new build warehouse and ancillary office accommodation. The works will include comprehensive earthworks, a Cat A office fit out, new underground drainage, utility connections and associated external works including external soft landscaping. Construction is expected take 36 weeks to complete with Practical Completion expected in July 2025.

Unit B will comprise Grade A accommodation with an ESG enhanced specification targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating, EPC A rating and a Fitwel enabled building. The detached unit will benefit from 12m eaves, Photovoltaic ‘PV’ Panels, Electric Vehicle ‘EV’ Charging, enhanced landscaping, a cycle store and a VRF heating and cooling system to the office accommodation. In addition, the warehouse will also benefit from four gable end level loading doors, six dock level loading doors and two euro-dock level loading doors.
